Bassanio is the WINNER!

Basaanio chose the lead casket, which contains a picture of me in it........

Which also means Bassanio is the winner!!!!!!! I was very happy Bassanio is the one whom i will marry to as to me, he is everything!! My love Bassanio, thanks for choosing the right casket.

Finally, Bassanio reach Belmont to come try his luck. I was praying all the way that he would pick the right casket. While hoping that he would picked the right casket, i got a band of musicians to play a little tune that will hep Bassanio choose the right casket.

There are rumours of him coming to Belmont to try his luck of winning me. I just hope he would hurry and choose the right casket before anyone does.

A arrogant prince also came to try to win me by choosing a casket. But the prince failed by choosing the silver casket, which gives him a message of telling him an idiot, instead of marrying me. He did not even hide his annoyance for being called an idiot for choosing  the wrong casket. I was glad that he did not win me as I could not think of marrying a man who was not a gentleman.

Bearing prejudice against blacks

Prince of Morocco came in hope of trying  to win me . He is brown-skinned, but dressed in white. He told me not to hold his skin colour against him. Being certain that the caskets reflects on my beauty, he picked the gold one, which turns out to be incorrect. Let all people of his complexion choose the gold casket.

I did not have the decision of choosing my own husband as my father set up a little contest that involves three caskets to ensure I was married to the 'right' man. So he did a common thing which most of the 16th  century father would, and makes sure I will marry the man of his choosing.
